Welcome to the Youth Page
“Spreading the Truth Through the Youth”
Welcome from the Bird Street youth please come and visit us.
The youth at 428 Bird Street are devoted to Worshipping God , Loving one another, Caring for those in need, Growing in the Unity of the Spirit and Sharing the Gospel of Jesus, so that Christ may be glorified!. Our group grows closer to each other and the Lord by spending time together and studying his word.
Walter Buckingham Sr. and the youth staff have been serving the Bird Street family for many years. He and his wife, Carolyn, love the youth and God. One of brother Buckingham Sr. favorite scripture is Proverbs Chapter 22 verse 6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (King James Version).
1st – 6th Graders
This active and educational program for the kids allows the children to experience the bible each Sunday morning and Wednesday night by visiting different themes each quarter. The children follow a age appropriate book that has been selected to allow them to learn about God and biblical stories. We encourage all of our kids to bring their bible and use it as their tool. The Bird Street family looks forward to having you and your child to be with us.
Teens
Bird Street teenagers are grades 7-12, and the youth ministry is here to serve and teach our youth through God. There are several fellowship activities to offer as well as biblical classes for the teens. Our teenage group uses several sources for learning God’s word. Sunday mornings we follow a theme or topic that has been selected for the quarter, and Sunday or Wednesday evenings is times to study and prepare for the bible bowl competition. We also give the teens opportunity to discuss topics that are on their heart. We strive to provide spiritual growth and fellowship activities to edify and encourage the teens. Our goal is to help all the teens grow closer to God and make heaven their final destination. The Bird Street family looks forward to having you come and be with us.
Classes are separated based on the grade of each child.
