
Anthony and Ira Booker were married in March of 1982. They are both natives of Maury County. They reside in Columbia, TN. God made them stewards over six sons: Anthony II, Antson, Antonio, Antwan, Antres, and Antipas. God blessed them with the joy of grandchildren: Jakarii and Aaron.
Anthony has been preaching for over 30 years. He has served the following congregations under the directions of Christ:
- New Hebrew Church of Christ in Lewisburg, TN;
- Front Street Church of Christ in Milan, TN;
- Broadway Street Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant, TN;
- Street Evangelist for the Nashville Inner City Ministry in Nashville, TN;
- Columbia Avenue Church of Christ in Centerville, TN;
- He is presently the servant, and pulpit minister for Bird Street Church of Christ in Shelbyville, TN;
- Besides his ministerial duties, Anthony is a self-employed contractor, specializing in remolding and additions.

Ira received hers at Columbia State Community College in Columbia, TN; MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN and San Diego State University in San Diego, California where she was blessed to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Masters Degree in Rehabilitation in Counseling.
The State of TN presently employs her as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.
They are very active in joining God where He is working, Anthony has taught at The Great Commission School in Nashville, TN; Teaches marriage class for congregations, Lectureships, Youth Camps and Rallies, Gospel Meetings, Family and Marriage Workshops and Marriage Counseling and Retreats. Ira is humbled by the fact that God has used her to teach Bible Classes for all ages and has allowed here to share God's word by participating in ladies days, workshops and retreats through out the brotherhood. She has also been Anthony's helpmeet in the marriage classes and workshops and retreats and counseling.
They are active as a family with school sports, trips, cookouts, and just being at home to share a time of prayer and God's word.

They long to be with Jesus but as long as God finds it needful for them to be here to help the saints progress in the Faith they are so honored and humbled by His Grace and Mercy to serve Him.
